Welcome to Birmingham Wine School
A very warm welcome to Birmingham Wine School - an independent wine education company, not affiliated to any wine merchants or retailers. We run Wine Tasting and Wine Courses for people who enjoy wine and would like to learn more about it. No previous wine tasting experience is necessary.
The courses and tastings focus on enjoying wine and learning about it in a relaxed and informal setting, with friendly people.

Our courses suit all levels of wine knowledge and experience, and we offer a range of courses for you to enjoy. Our 10 week World Course provides a great introduction to wine covering a wide range of topics in our World tour. Our 5-week course provides a deeper insight into a country or specific region, while our Saturday course is a great way of just sipping back and tasting over 12 delicious wines. Or try an evening tasting, there are many to choose from, and as with all of our courses - no previous wine knowlege is required.

Venue and Times
Birmingham wine tasting and Birmingham wine courses are run at The Old Joint Stock Theatre, in the heart of the city. Evening courses start at 7pm and last for 2 hours. Saturday courses start at 11am, include a 2 course lunch and finish at 4pm.
The Old Joint Stock, as well as hosting a small but beautifully formed theatre also has an excellent pub. It is located opposite the main entrance of St Philip's Cathederal, just off Colmore Row. 4 Temple Row West, B2 5NY. Just 5 minutes walk from Snow Hill and less than 10 minutes from New Street.
